Farmers Market
The Green Market
At The Green Market, you’ll find local vendors who are using sustainable practices to create the most healthful products for our bodies and our Earth. Our vendors are dedicated to educating the public about how these practices affect health and nutrition thus you’ll find each vendor intimately involved with the creation of the goods you wish to purchase. The Green Market is hosted every weekend all year long but has two different seasons with vendors participating in one or both seasons.
The Summer Selling Season
We host The Green Market every Friday night from 4-8pm starting the first Friday in May through the last Friday in October. The vendors are on the front lawn with dinner being served on the deck from 5:00pm–dusk. Check out our Upcoming Events section on the website to find out this weeks menu. Look for the vendors inside the Red Barn and dinner in the Loft in case of inclement weather.

Vendor Certifications and Designations
Each Green Market vendor is designated as Meat/Cheese/Dairy, Vegetable/Plant, or Value Added with the latter providing a category for all packaged goods. Each category also has five sustainable goals created by the Farmer’s Advisory Board. Each goal achieved is noted by a star on the vendor’s sign which can be seen at the booths during The Green Market. The stars are color coded according to each vendor’s classification: Certified Organic, Certified Naturally Grown or “Pledge No” vendors receive gold stars for having virgin land or for being at least three years without the use of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or herbicides; hormones for growth production; or antibiotic use during any phase of the growing or producing process. Transitional Certified Organic vendors receive green stars to show they are on their way to three years without the use of synthetic chemicals, hormones or antibiotics. No Certification vendors receive blue stars at The Green Market.
Indy’s Best
The Green Market was Nuvo’s pick for Indy’s Best Farmer’s Market in 2007.
We hope you will join us this weekend to see why it was ranked Indy’s Best. Our weekly newsletter maintains a Green Market section that highlights this week’s vendors and the goods they are planning to bring to this weekend’s market. You can access the newsletter via the Newsletter tab at the top of our Home Page. Please be prepared as most of our vendors accept only cash or check. Those vendors who do accept credit have a Visa/Mastercard sign at their booth. The Farm Store, Loft, and Dairy Bar all accept cash, check and credit. If you have any questions, please contact the office via email at info@tpforganics.com
